The stupid 'soda ban'
OMG!!! This stupid soda ban is really getting to me..
First it started in the 1980's when bands like Iron Maiden, Slayer or Ozzy Osbourne were being blamed for teen suicide or crime. Music was being blamed for all sorts of problems when the root of the problem was actually the kids. I listened to these bands when I was a kid and I never committed any crimes or want to kill myself because of the music. Music doesn't make kids do stupid things... kids do stupid things because either they have emotional problems or their parents weren't there to teach them right from wrong. Same thing with guns..guns don't kill people...people kill people...
Instead of blaming soda for obesity..blame the kids or adults for sitting at home playing video games or watching TV endlessly and not going outside and getting some exercise. What happened to self control or a well balanced diet...
Until we all have our own health care to pay for at some point we all pay for someone else's medical expenses... Who cares?! I mean right now I'm already paying for someone's choice to eat meat or drink beer or smoke cigs/cigars.. what if I don't want to pay for someone's medical bill because all they ever eat is tomatoes... I mean really...it's so stupid!
Aren't there many schools around the country that have eliminated P.E. as a course in high school? I mean what's up with that? There is a problem right there too! People should be able to choose what they eat or drink...it doesn't make them fat unless they have too much of it and they don't do anything else to keep their weight down.
With all these new regulations and bans it's like we are losing our freedoms to make our own choices in life... This just reminds me of the movie Demolition Man.. Yes I get the movie WALL E where the entire society becomes overweight but banning soda sizes isn't the problem...people just don't move anymore!!!
Here's an idea..instead of being lazy and parking right next to the building you have to walk into..park further away or don't get so upset because you can't park close to where you have to go....parking further away actually does have it's benefits...
